Wintering In Tuscany
February 2027
Welcome the slow months with a six-day experience in nature for rest, clarity and renewal
Out first event for 2027 and the first one on this land, a beautiful way to center yourself before life becomes busy again.
Wintering in Tuscany is a small-group wellbeing gathering created for people who have been carrying too much, moving too quickly or feeling disconnected from themselves as the year comes to a close and the busier, colder winter months fast approach.
Across six restorative days in the Tuscan countryside, you will be invited to step away from everyday demands, settle your mind and reconnect with what matters most. This is not about escaping your life. It is about creating enough space to return to it feeling more grounded, energised and clear about the way forward.
Through practical coaching, reflective writing, mindful movement, breathwork, sound and time in nature, you will be supported in moving from overwhelm towards greater awareness, balance and direction.
You will return home feeling rested and clearer about the season ahead, with a personal plan to support your wellbeing in everyday life.
We chose Tuscany very intentionally as the setting for this retreat. Its slower rhythm, open landscapes and deep connection to land and tradition naturally invite a different pace of being. In winter, the rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves and quiet seaside create a sense of spaciousness that helps the nervous system settle and the mind soften. In this environment, it becomes easier to step out of habitual urgency and return to what is essential. Tuscany is not just a backdrop, but an active part of the experience—supporting reflection, grounding and a felt sense of reconnection with yourself and the natural world.

What to Expect
A Compass for Your Journey
Designed by ARISE Wellness Coaching in collaboration with ASTERA Wellbeing, the programme is structured around four stages.
Each day will follow a considered theme, guiding you through a journey from slowing down and taking stock to identifying what you need for the season ahead.
At its heart is a simple belief: that clarity does not come from pushing harder, but from creating enough stillness to hear yourself again.
PAUSE
Step out of everyday momentum and become present again.
You will be invited to slow down, settle into your surroundings and notice how you have arrived—physically, mentally and emotionally.
LISTEN
Notice your needs, stress patterns and inner signals.
Through coaching, reflection and embodied practices, you will begin to understand where your attention and energy have been going and what may need greater care.
REBALANCE
Explore what supports your wellbeing as a whole person.
You will consider the different areas of your life, identify what restores or drains you and reconnect with the experiences that bring meaning, joy and vitality.
RETURN
Create practical intentions and sustainable habits for the months ahead.
Before leaving Tuscany, you will create a personal Rebalance Plan to help you protect your wellbeing and approach the coming season with greater clarity and confidence.
Your Retreat Experience
A Grounded Return to Yourself
The programme is intentionally spacious and unhurried. Nothing is compulsory. You are invited to participate in what feels supportive and to rest in between—whether that is reading, walking, sitting in silence, or simply being in the landscape.
Your stay will include five nights’ accommodation in the Tuscan countryside, alongside nourishing meals throughout the retreat that support both comfort and simplicity.
Across the week, you will be guided through practical wellbeing talks and workshops with Simon, offering space to explore stress, balance and sustainable change in a grounded and accessible way.
Valentina will lead yoga and mindful movement sessions designed to gently reconnect you with your body, alongside pranayama, sound and nature-based practices that support rest, regulation and alignment with the season.
You will also be invited into nature through guided walks, local experiences and walking meditation, allowing the landscape itself to become part of your reflection and reset.
A reflective poetry workshop will offer a simple, creative way to explore what is present beneath the surface, while your personal Arise Wellbeing Compass, Stress Map and Rebalance Plan will help you translate insight into something practical and usable beyond the retreat.
The week will open and close with shared gatherings, creating a sense of arrival, intention and completion, and there will be spacious time throughout to rest, journal, read, connect or simply be.
Optional local experiences may also be available for those who wish to explore further.
Bold landscapes,
Inner Work
The slow season in Tuscany offers breathtaking views of the countryside and a slower pace of life where fresh olive oil, winter fruits and vino novello take center stage.
The Rhythm of Your Retreat
The following programme is indicative. Times and activities may change to reflect the needs of the group, venue and weather.
Step out of everyday life and settle into Tuscany.
Take time to arrive, unpack and begin slowing down. A welcome circle with Simon and Valentina will bring the group together, followed by gentle grounding, a shared dinner and sound relaxation to ease you into the retreat.
DAY 1 - ARRIVE
DAY 2 - PAUSE
Slow down and begin coming back to yourself.
Mindful movement opens the day before Simon’s Coming Back to Yourself session invites you to notice where your attention and energy have been going. Poetry, reflective writing, and slow journaling create space to listen beneath the noise and reconnect with what you need. Free time to explore what comes up for you and optional sharing moments with the group.
DAY 3 - LISTEN
Understand your stress patterns and inner signals.
A guided meditation walk in nature begins the morning before Simon guides an exploration of personal pressures, coping patterns and early warning signs. You will create your Personal Stress Map, followed by a breath-led practice and time to rest, reflect or explore locally.
DAY 4 - REBALANCE
Explore what supports you as a whole person.
Restorative yoga leads into a whole-person wellbeing session with Simon. Using the Arise Wellbeing Compass, you will consider what restores your energy, what drains it and where greater balance is needed. The day may also include optional Tuscan experiences to support your practice before closing with sound relaxation and meditation.
DAY 5 - RETURN
Turn reflection into meaningful action.
Time outdoors in nature creates space to consider what you want to carry forward. Simon’s final coaching session will help you translate the week’s insights into a practical Rebalance Plan, before the retreat’s final sharing circle and celebratory dinner.
DAY 6 - INTEGRATE
Complete the retreat and prepare to return home.
Gentle movement and breathwork begin the final morning before Simon and Valentina lead a closing circle. You will leave Tuscany with greater clarity about what you want to protect, the practical tools created during the retreat and a renewed connection to yourself.
